At CareersStack, we value your trust and are committed to safeguarding your personal information. This Privacy Policy details how we handle account creation, resume uploads, AI parsing pipelines, and recruiter data visibility.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us (e.g. name, email, credentials) and uploadable documents. Specifically, when you upload a resume, our platform extracts career metadata (work history, skills, contact numbers, and education) to build your candidate profile.

2. How We Store & Secure Data

All profiles and resume data buffers are encrypted at rest and in transit. Original PDF and DOCX resume uploads are securely stored in our databases, accessible only to hiring managers of job postings you explicitly apply to. We never sell your personal information.

3. AI Processing & Vetting

We utilize Google AI Studio's Gemini models to parse resumes. This data is handled in accordance with privacy API guidelines — prompts sent to the API are not utilized to train public foundation models, ensuring your career history remains secure.

4. Your Rights & Choice

You retain full control over your data. You can edit your parsed profile at any time, delete your resume buffer instantly from your candidate dashboard, or completely deactivate your account, which purges all databases of your associated records.
